Have you ever sat down to imagine what your favourite Nigerian movie stars would be doing if they did not choose acting as their preferred profession? Well, I did that during my spare time. Sit tight and join me on this hilarious ride that might have some elements of truth in it. LOL.
Before I start, I would like to remind readers that this is no shade at these amazing Nollywood stars who have dazzled on our screens for several years, it is all for fun. If you have ever wondered what Sola Sobowale will do when she is not playing the Eniola Salami role on your TV screen, or what Ramsey Nouah will indulge in when he is not your favourite movie director, this is the article for you. See If Nollywood Actors And Actresses Had Side Hustles.
1. Sola Sobowale Would Be A Canteen Owner:
If Sola Sobowale is not playing the troublesome mother or wife in Nollywood movies, she would surely be running a successful canteen in Nigeria. It would actually be a popular food home in Lagos State not mainly because the meal is sweet, but because Sola owns it.
She is that dramatic and we fully expect the actress and her workers to be rude to customers from time to time. Her sharp mouth will surely drive some customers away and even those who stick around to ride the insults out can expect very small portions despite paying a high price.
2. Zack Orji Would Be A Successful Spare Parts Owner:
This is not even me being tribalistic here, but most spare parts traders I have met resemble this legendary actor. It is not really about him being an Igbo man, he just has that spare parts businessman kind of vibe. We expect him to be quite successful at it because he has the confidence and convincing tone to tell customers that a particular vehicle part will stand the test of time.
The fact remains that if Zack gives you that stern look and asks you to purchase something from his shop while guaranteeing its quality, you’ll have no choice but to trust him.
Who Is Zack Orji?
Zack Orji is a Nollywood actor, director, producer and filmmaker who was born in Libreville, Gabon, in 1960. The movie star is a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and he is a creative who speaks both English and French fluently.
His breakout movie was titled “Unforgiven Sin,” in 1991 and Zack recently revealed that he actually got the lead role in that project without auditioning. Fast forward to 2022, this actor has gone on to feature in several movies to finally attain the legendary status his talent deserves.
3. Osita Iheme Would Be A Rapper Or Dancer:
If you listen to Pawpaw rap, you would know he has it in him to give the likes of Vector, MI Abaga and Jesse Jags a run for their money in the music industry. He’s got the punchlines, rhymes and flow that will keep rap fans glued to their screens and we would not be surprised if he still takes that career path sometime in the future.
If you are not aware, Osita Iheme can dance as well. We’ve seen him burst wicked moves in Nollywood movies from time to time, so he definitely has what it takes.
Who Is Osita Iheme?
Osita Iheme is a Nollywood actor who is widely known for playing the role of “Pawpaw” in the popular movie titled “Aki na Ukwa” alongside Chinedu Ikedieze, and he is the founder of Inspired Movement Africa, a group created to inspire, motivate and develop the minds of young Nigerians and Africans.
He is from Mbaitoli, Imo State, Nigeria despite growing up in Abia State, and he has an MBA degree from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. It was after Pawpaw wrapped up his studies at IMT that he decided to pursue a career in Nollywood in 1998, initially featuring in very minor roles before embracing stardom completely.
After years of being cast as a child, he rose to fame in 2022 with “Aki na Ukwa,” playing the role of a very mischievous child that is still a topic of discussion among many Nollywood fans. His performance alongside Chinedu Ikedieze in the highly successful project actually made them the household names that they are now.

4. Richard Mofe Damijo Would Be A Sugar Daddy:
Everybody knows RMD remains a fine man despite his advanced age, so if you are looking for someone who would deliver the look, class, money, skill and dedication needed to be a successful sugar daddy, look no further than this Nollywood legend.
The fact is if you find out that RMD is your girlfriend’s sugar daddy, it would be very silly of you to feel bad about the situation. If anything, you should commend your girl for choosing the right man for the job.
5. Patience Ozokwor Would Be Your Promise And Fail Tailor:
I just found myself imagining how well Patience Ozokwor would do as a tailor if she chose that path instead of Nollywood, and it was not a good imagination. I immediately pictured myself thinking about a crying bride who is weeping over her disastrous wedding because she thought it wise to hire Mummy Patience as her wedding dress tailor.
And knowing the ever troublesome Ozokwor, she would simply say her work can be insulted, but not her, and then all hell will break loose. Let’s just thank God she found acting as her talent, else, tailors will definitely have a bad reputation because of her.
6. Funke Akindele Would Be A NURTW Worker:
If you have been following Funke Akindele in Nollywood movies over the years, you’ll know that she has that agbero talent that she is yet to fully explore. I can just imagine her thriving in NURTW, be it as their chairman, collecting cash she never worked for, or as a loud tout stopping big buses to collect levies at different bus stops.
7. Genevieve Nnaji Would Be A YouTuber:
I see the legendary Genevieve Nnaji having a lot of subscribers on YouTube while she churns out regular makeup tutorial content. And imagining Genevieve in front of your screen telling you, “Hey guys! Welcome back to my YouTube channelllllll,” would surely be a successful route for the movie star. Back to reality though, Genevieve Nnaji is so beautiful even without make-up.
8. Ramsey Nouah Would Own An Nkwobi Joint:
Do you know those joints where rich people gather to rub minds and even share business ideas? Don’t you see Ramsey Nouah owning one of them? I do. Since he is a rich man himself, I fully expect the dashing actor to open a spot as a home for people like him.
And at the end of the night, I can also picture him saying the food and drinks are on the house. That will not be down to a good gesture alone though, it’ll be because he just bagged another multimillion-dollar project he wants to celebrate.
9. Mercy Johnson Would Be A C all Girl:
I’m sorry, but Mercy Johnson nails a c all girl role anytime she is asked to play it. She is so perfect when she plays a h arlot that one would think she has past experiences with the profession. Her s eductive moves, her v ulgar utterances, her stunning eyes, her body e.t.c, all of these features will definitely make her successful at it, and we fully expect her colleagues in the business to envy her from time to time.
Back to reality though, Mercy Johnson is a beautiful married woman who currently values her family over anything else in the world.
10. Ninalowo Bolanle Would Be A Good Bouncer:
If you have seen this Yoruba and English Nollywood actor, you would already know why he can be nothing else but a bouncer if acting wasn’t his calling. Ninalowo is a huge and tall man, and these 2 features are really all you need to succeed in the bouncer business.
Add his confidence, good looks, firm way of talking to the mix, and we might be looking at one of the best bouncers the world will ever experience. LOL.
