Yul Edochie has taken to his Instagram page to advise upcoming actors and actresses to be very serious with acting as it is very serious business.
The popular Nollywood actor also advised them to endure and be patient in the beginning as the conditions may appear harsh, but that they will eventually rip the dividends of their hard work.
However, for this to happen, the upcoming Nollywood stars will have to study from their senior colleagues, read a lot of books, tell their story convincingly when interpreting their roles and act as though their lives depend on it.
He wrote;
“Dear upcoming actors and actresses, don’t worry the hustle will pay.
The conditions may be harsh in the beginning but it always pays in the end.
Love the job.
Be very serious with it.
Acting is very serious business, it’s not a joke.
Anytime you get the opportunity to play a role, just know that you’re telling the story of someone out there. So you have to tell it convincingly.
Watch lots of films, foreign and home made.
Read lots of books.
Study your senior colleagues and learn from them.
Get training.
Equip yourself with as much knowledge of the craft as possible.
And when the role comes, act like your life depends on it.
The breakthrough you seek will surely come.”
