Ini Edo has reacted to the “unimaginable tragedy” that so many Nigerians across the world woke up to see in the news and on social media. Nigerian singer, Davido lost his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke after he drowned in a pool at his father’s house in Banana Island while the “Assurance” hitmaker and his fiancée, Chioma Rowlands were attending a family gathering at Ibadan, Oyo state.
Ini Edo described the incident as “too painful to comprehend”.
According to the popular Nollywood actress, she was yet to recover from the death of her friend’s teenage son only to hear of Davido’s son.
She wrote;
“My friends teenage son just last week passed in the United States.While playing football for his school, he scored a goal with his head, developed a seizure then slipped into coma and died a few days after …. I have not been able to come to terms with how the mother who had been left alone to cater to those kids from an early age is living with this devastating death..

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, 3.
In a telephone conversation, the PPRO stated clearly that eight people were being questioned over the death of Davido’s child. It is understood that arrests will be made after a thorough investigation is carried out. The police spokesman said:
“It is true, the child is dead. About eight people were brought in for questioning and we are investigating the matter. Anyone found culpable in the death of the child would be arrested”.
