Uchenna Nnanna Maduka has some parenting advice for every mother. The popular Nollywood actress wants them to stop cursing their children as their utterances carry power.
In this part of the world, many parents have formed the habit of cursing their kids over the slightest wrongdoing. Sometimes, they would throw their slippers at the children, which usually accompanies these harmful utterances that could go on to affect them later in their lives.
These mothers would be the first to say that their ‘village people’ have caught up with them, forgetting that they are the ones who shaped their own children’s future with their harsh curses.
According to Uchenna, mothers should embrace speaking grace into the lives of their kids rather use harsh words or curses whenever they misbehave – which NollywoodCelebs must add, is common among children.
She wrote via her Instagram page;
“As a MOTHER, your utterance carry power over your children, so no matter how misbehaved they are do not curse them. But rather speak GRACE into their lives”.
Do Not Be That Type of Father That Can’t Bond with Your Children – Uchenna Nnanna Maduka
Elsewhere but still on Uchenna Nnanna Maduka, the movie star has advised fathers to bond with their children. She made this known through a video that she shared on her Instagram page. NollywoodCelebs have taken the liberty of writing it down for you. You can also use this link to watch the video.
She said in part;
“So, there’s this video I saw that has been trending. I think last week I saw it on Tunde’s page, where one guy was saying, ‘Marriage is a scam, marriage is a scam. Once you marry, you have children and before you know it, your children will come and carry your wife.’ Guys, let me tell you now, for those of you that didn’t see that video, watch it first, then we’ll continue. Right? Watch it.”
The man in Tunde Ednut’ s video then speaks;
“You see this thing they call marriage? That’s a scam. A very big scam. Marriage is a scam. You marry a wife, you guys will start having children. As soon as your children grow up, they will leave the house and start their life. The next target in that house is your wife, which is their mother. They will come and carry her in the form of a omugwo. You will not see her again. You will be alone with all your wealth, all your poverty. Marriage, it’s a very big scam. Just sit down, relax, and think. Marriage, it’s a very big scam.”
Then Uchenna continues with the topic;
“So guys, I’m sure you people have seen that video, right? You’re done watching it. Now, the man said, ‘Marriage is a scam, marriage is a scam. And when you marry, in the name of a Omugwo, they will carry your wife, you will be alone.’ Man, let me tell you, this thing I’m trying to give you is advice. I understand there is so much pressure on men in society, right? Because you’re the head of the family, you’re providing like 80%, 90% to your family. But I want to advise us on something. Men, in whatever you do, try and make out, no matter how little time it is, don’t just be a provider. Provide for your family. Like I’m not saying, provide for your family, do everything you’re supposed to do, right? But make out a little time to bond with your children and your wife.
“Bond with your children. It is very, very important. Like that thing where the man shouts, ‘Marriage is a scam, marriage is a scam.’ If you bond with your children, when they are taking their mother, they will take you. Or if they take their mother for omugwo, before you know it, they will tell their mother to go back because their father is there. They’ll be missing you. They can even invite you to come over because it’s one room your wife will stay in.
“Two of you can be in that room. So what am I trying to say in essence? Fathers, stop being a financial father alone. That you’re there, you provide for your family, you buy things, all the financial whatever, you meet up with it, you do everything. But please, I am begging you as a father, create time. Make out time, right? Make out time to bond with your children. When you come back from work, in your tiredness, five, ten minutes, play with your children, sing with them, ask them how was their day. Not only them asking you.
“So fathers, don’t come and be that father that once you come back from work, your children will be running away. They can’t even get close to you. Please do not be that type of father because these are the things that bring this kind of a thing we are talking about. By the time they grow up, because they don’t have a bond with you, mothers, why will they always act for their mother? The mothers are always there. We know you guys are doing a whole lot.
“There’s so much pressure on the men. Men, when you come back from work, you have to take care of your children. When you come back from work, you have to take care of your children. When you come back from work, you have to take care of your children. So don’t be that type of father. Create time for your children. Create time for your children. So that you can bond with your children. So that when they are carrying their mother, they will also carry you.
“They will also remember you. Not only the mothers, they will be the ones who take their children to school. They will cook, they will feed them, they will do everything. They will play with them. They will do homework with them. Fathers, once in a while, make out time, sit down, do homework with your children. It’s not going to kill you. You are bonding with them, not because you’re just doing it. You’re only bonding with them. That’s all I have to say.
“That’s all I have to say. That’s all. Goodbye.”
