Patience Ozokwo, a popular and highly respected Nollywood actress in Nigeria has taken to her Instagram page to advise her fans across the world. The movie star stated clearly that when time is taken to work very hard, opportunities will come.
The thespian’s words are welcome as a lot of youths are desperate for quick money and overnight success. However, things don’t really work this way for everyone as hardwork and patience is needed.
According to Ozokwo, miracles still do happen in the world today and as such, prayer is needed to actualize goals. She wrote:
“Take your time and work very hard. Opportunities come when you put in the WORK.
Pray too because miracles happen.
Checking up on all #MamaGLovers
Hope you are all doing well”.
From the Nollywood star’s post, it is clear that they should not wait for an opportunity but to create it. This was clearly written in one of her slides and it resonated with many fans.
In a post she shared May 22, 2023, the thespian stated clearly that during the time she first started in the Nigerian movie industry, there wasn’t social media. So to excel in one’s career depended on a number of factors.
She wrote;
“When we started in the industry there was no social media and so many other luxury we enjoy now. Progress was completely dependent on your talent, humility, word of mouth and trust.”
While letting her fans know that sacrifices are involved, she further added;
“I appreciate my family who have always surrounded me with love and acceptance. My children sacrificed a lot and stayed long periods without a mother. At one point, my daughter became my PA and is still my Associate Manager till date.”
