Her mother was a medical doctor while her father was a retired school principal, but Funke Akindele chose Nollywood as a career path, and her financial success many years later proves that it was not a bad decision at all. This movie star was born on 28 December 1979, in Abiriba, Abia State, Nigeria, and she is a graduate of Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Calabar and Computer Programming from the Federal University of Technology Minna.
