Mike Ezuruonye has taken to Instagram to issue a warning to those who inform him about people gossiping behind his back. The popular Nollywood actor doesn’t appreciate such information, as he clearly stated in his message. He also questioned why people would feel so comfortable sharing such gossip, especially since those doing so likely felt it was appropriate for the listeners to be present when speaking negatively about others. It’s clear that the movie star values his mental health and doesn’t want anyone to disturb his peace. Before we go any further, do you agree with Ezuruonye’s principle on such matters and why?
There is hardly anyone who hasn’t experienced being a target of gossips. Thankfully, it’s usually those who have something to offer in life that people just can’t help but talk about negatively.
It’s also important to note that those who gossip about others, want to be like them.
Ezuruonye was definitely right when he questioned why gossips would be comfortable talking about others in the presence of certain listeners. This could be because they have identified such people as sharing the same habit with them or, they have sensed that such people are not genuine friends.
Despite this, Ezuruonye failed to understand that sometimes, the listeners of gossip do so intentionally to know what is truly being said about their target. This helps them to genuinely know those who wish others well from their hearts, or say nice things only when they are around.
Anyway, we at NollywoodCelebs get the picture and understand the actor’s point. You can use this link to watch Mike Ezuruonye talk about the gossips, listeners and not wanting to be told.
He said;
“Now, here’s what, don’t disturb me, don’t disturb my peace by telling me what they said about me, okay? What somebody said about me, okay? Yes, because they told you and not me. They told you, okay? So, the next question is, why were they so comfortable saying it to you, in front of you? Brings me to my next question. Did you support the motion? Did you defend me? Not like I really care, but, abeg, you see, my mental health is very important to me. Good morning.”
