Mary Igwe has openly joined many Nigerians across the world to react to the tragic news that David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has lost his son, Ifeanyi.
The popular Nollywood actress stated clearly that she believes in miracles and will not accept the report of Ifeanyi’s death. She made this known in an Instagram post while noting that God is able to do all things.
She wrote;
“I’m still praying it’s not true, I refuse to accept this report, I believe in miracles, For what God cannot do does not exist
Call me crazy if you like.
I believe in MIRACLES.”
Many Nigerians woke up to the sad news. It is understood that the child drowned at the singer’s residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.
Ifeanyi was reportedly rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead by one of the doctors on duty.
It is understood that the cook and the child’s nanny alongside seven others have been arrested by the police in Lagos state over Davido’s son’s death.
According to a source of one of the popular media outlets;
“About nine people have been arrested for negligence, including his nanny and their cook. Chioma is brok£n. David is in tears.
“They are both at his dad’s house in Lekki and nobody from 30BG is allowed there. His 30th birthday plans have been put on hold.
“The real story is cr@zy. How the kid opened a huge thick door and got outside, nobody knows. The arrested people are crimin@lly negligent.”
Ayo Makun (AY Comedian) hit his Instagram page yet again to react to the tragic loss which hit Davido and Chioma. He wrote;
“Dear Lord, we will never understand why you would give us a blessing and allowed the devil to take it so quickly. No parents wants to outlive their children, and it’s really not fair on the few good people who do a lot to help others keep their own children alive, by giving them hopes for a better tomorrow.
This loss affects so many people.
How do we even encourage them to move on? How can we ever trust caregivers with our children when we remember the painful circumstances surrounding that innocent child’s death? We all want to ask for forgiveness and continue to glorify you, even in our pain. You sincerely need to show Yourself to the parents and protect them from bitterness. Give them a new purpose for living and a way to honour their child’s life.
Give them the courage to trust you, to hope again, and to love again. Protect them from living in fear and paranoia. Judging by the things you have blessed us with, we know you are good, and you do good. Protect us from evil people as we give you this tragedy to redeem in Jesus name. Amen!”
