Destiny Etiko is one of the most respected and talented Nollywood actresses in the Nigerian movie industry. In a recent post shared on her Instagram page, the Drama Doll, as she is lovingly referred to, appeared to share her secret to success while advising her millions of fans across the world to do the same. She encouraged them to focus on their blessings and not on their misfortunes. Do you think this a reliable strategy?
Anyway, Etiko Nwa, as Frederick Leonard fondly calls her, has proven that this works for her as counting one’s blessings keeps the momentum going rather than allowing problems to discourage and eventually consume the person.
She wrote;
“Focus on your blessings, not your misfortunes
Count your blessings, not your problems
His grace is sufficient in my life
THANK U JESUS”.
When Nollywood actress Evan Okoro saw the post, she hailed Destiny Etiko as “Beauty with brain” while sending out her love and support to her colleague.
Uju Okoli, Jane Obi, Frank Tana, Ebube Nwaguru, Amarachi Igidimbah, Peace Onuoha, Sharon Francis and Ebele Okaro were among the celebrities who hailed the Saving Rita star in the comment section.
Some fans reminded Destiny Etiko not to accept food, drinks, or unnecessary items from her colleagues both on and off set.
If you recall, there has been recent prophesies made about Etiko warning her not to take her life for granted as some of her colleagues are planning to destroy her life which could ultimately lead to her demise.
In fact, the Ghanaian seer had earlier predicted Junior Pope’s demise. So, when he disclosed that of Etiko’s, it really affected her and she was visibly teary while reacting to the doomsday prophesies in a video she shared on her Instagram page.
She said;
“The only time I might get scared is when they say my God is angry with me, that’s the only time I will be shaking. A lot of people have reached out to ask about me, I am perfectly okay, I haven’t wronged anyone, I haven’t done any evil to anyone, so nothing that anyone does will work. I work in line with my God, in fact he works before me, He’s by my side, I’m protected.”
The movie star also spoke on the recent passing of some Nollywood stars including that of John Okafor (Mr Ibu), Amaechi Muonagor, and more recently, Junior Pope. She said:
“It’s not been easy, Nollywood really lost something this time, Nollywood did not lose one or two or three or four, we lost five. It’s so disheartening and painful, but whoever you think you are, or wherever you think God has placed you in life and you forget your God who has made you, your own is gone. I’m not scared because I know who I’m with, I have absolutely nothing to be scared of.”
Elsewhere, it has been reported that veteran Nollywood actor, Zulu Adigwe has passed away. Although the cause was not disclosed, Nollywood movie producer, Stanley Ontop wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 23, 2024:
“I regret to announce the passing on a veteran actor. Late Mr Zulu Adibe (sic)..What caused his death yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace Good actor”.
