Nollywood star Anayo Modestus Onyekwere, popularly known as Kanayo O. Kanayo, recently introduced his first son, Clinton, on the set of one of his movies. The veteran actor disclosed that his son had just graduated from Babcock University, where he studied ICT.
Kanayo also warned crew members and other actors on set not to give his son preferential treatment, warning that he was there to work and earn his fee just like everyone else. This approach would also help correct Clinton when he makes mistakes, ensuring he doesn’t become spoiled. He said:
“This is Clinton, my first son, and he joins us today as an assistant production manager and PA for me. Don’t treat him like my son. It’s a warning I give to everyone: he is here to work. He’s going to earn compensation like you deserve compensation, so don’t start saying ‘na KOK son’, I don’t feel like doing that kain thing, treat him like a production crew, he’s going to understudy you and teach you this job, treat him with respect to the extent that you treat others with respect, that’s what I want him to grow into. I don’t want you to spoil my son for me when things go bad and you don’t correct him. He comes to work with us today and has just graduated from Babcock University, he studied ICT.”
He captioned the video which was shared on his Instagram page;
“We resumed filming today.
My son, Clinton, Onyeze Mbaise, joins us as Assistant Production Manager & my Personal Assistant. He is an intern to understudy Film making and Management before proceeding for further studies. We should let our children work in our organisations or other establishments to appreciate industry. Kudos Onyeze. Welcome on board Simpliciter Associates Productions”.
