Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has shared an emotional video of the late veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor (Mr Ibu) on his sick bed. The Nigerian singer paid a visit to the movie star before his death on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at a hospital in Lagos after he was reported to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
Mr Ibu was seen on the hospital bed while expressing his appreciation for all the love that Rudeboy of P-Square had shown him. In fact, Okafor stated clearly that the singer would definitely make heaven with what he had seen. The “Issakaba” actor also emphasized that everything occurs in accordance with God’s timing, adding that “when the time arrives, it’s already here.”
He conveyed, “Rudeboy, I’m not sure where to start. But everything unfolds according to God’s timing precisely. When the time is right, it’s arrived.
“Rudeboy, if you don’t make it to heaven, consider me meat. We’ll both be in heaven, seated in the company of angels, sharing a meal together.
“People may wonder today, ‘How is it possible? Ibu and P-Square don’t have the same parents.’ But let me tell you, parents have arrived.”
Paying respects to the late Okafor, Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, expressed on his Instagram:
“Today is a sorrowful day for the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Kate Henshaw mourns the loss of her mother, and Mr Ibu experienced a cardiac arrest, as confirmed by his manager of 24 years, Don Nwuzor. It is with profound sadness that I announce Mr Ibu’s passing. May his soul find peace.”

director_martins: “Omoh!
Mr Ibu due to diabetes is also an opportunity to confront the elephant in the room – potbelly A potbelly is a huge sign of being unhealthy associated with diseases like diabetes, hypertension, heart problems.
More often than not, when someone goes through what Mr Ibu went through, we tend to point to w!tchcraft blaming our relatives/village people. Yet most of the times we’re bewitching ourselves through unhealthy eating habits/diets and lifestyle
Watch what you eat – reduce your sugar intake, carbohydrates, alcohol, fizzy drinks, fast food, vegetable oils
Be more active – take long walks, go to the gym, do hikes, have s*x
You need to unfat, there’s nothing good about having a potbelly, man boobs, man hips or big buttocks as a man”.
