Lolade Okusanya, the incredibly talented Nigerian actress and star of Ijakumo, has revealed her adopted Igbo name to be NNEKA THE PRETTY SÉRPENT. If you recall, Idia Aisen was the star actress in the 2020 movie – a role which shot the Nollywood star into limelight.
Well, Lolade joked that she doesn’t want to be called by her birth name while also stating clearly that she is “no longer into yoruba dark guys again”.
She wrote in full;
“I have finally chosen an igbo name and guess what it is…’NNEKA THE PRETTY SÉRPENT’. If anybody call me ‘Lolade’ again . I’m no longer into yoruba dark guys again , You people don’t know more than ‘what are you bringing to the table?’.
“My Igbo kings don’t like equality so I’m going there to chöp money . Infact, I don’t want to see any Yoruba comment on my page again I’m done with you people. .
“Lemme speak another igbo bcs I’m learning daily… Shi me mi ya…(I learnt this one on set today) Una no go hear word on this Ig seh. Can’t you see I’m already looking Deltan?. Small small, I’ll start looking igbo. My transition is showing. Queen NNEKA in the building”.
There were reactions.
oyinparadise hailed Lolade’s beauty in a manner that made the actress react instantly: “See as babe fineeeeee, see as babe set kpa….. wo! somebody call the ambulance! Wow!!!! Wow!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!”
Lolade responded: “😂I’m on set but immediately I saw this comment, I had to comment😂😂. Oyin, Wetin be dis?😂😂 I’m tired of this my fave😂❤️”.
A fan, hardhenihkhe had a different name for the thespian and made it known: “But I will name you chiamanda❤️”.
