Kanayo O. Kanayo has noted the improvement in the Nigerian movie industry. The legendary Nollywood actor described it as moving from “crawling to walking” during his Interview with Channels Television. He said:

“Nollywood has left where it used to be and definitely not where it should be; it has moved from crawling to walking and to other certain stages. At least, most of our movies are on Netflix, Amazon, and more, which shows there have been improvements in the industry. The road to success is always under construction, so Nollywood also remains in progress.”

Speaking further, Kanayo said, “We have also become the makers of many African country movies, even though we complain about distribution factors, weak infrastructure for production, and other related factors, but we are still light years ahead of many countries.”
